Headway in PA: Announcing Dedicated Operations Directors in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia

In 2016 R&Q expanded its activities and the amount of clients served in the northeast (specifically, the greater Boston region), formally launched R&Q in Minnesota, and continued to service new and existing clients throughout the state of Ohio. In 2017 we plan to strengthen our capabilities in those areas and others by hiring some of the most qualified regulatory and quality professionals in the industry (who also are a cultural fit for R&Q). But with that said, we'll never, ever lose sight of where we started and ultimately call home: Pennsylvania.

R&Q has hired - or rather, promoted from within - dedicated operations directors in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia. Each director is tasked with ensuring R&Q is represented in the territory through:

• Serving medical device clients and helping them thrive
• Engaging in regional marketing/networking initiatives
• Ensuring the growth of ongoing sales

In Western PA...

Jon Gimbel (LinkedIn) has been promoted from Manager of Pennsylvania Operations to Director of Western Pennsylvania Operations. Jon has been with R&Q since 2014 and has more than 20 years of medical device experience in business and academic environments. Part of R&Q's mission is to promote economic growth through regional partnerships and Jon will take a leading role in western Pennsylvania. By ensuring a continuned R&Q presence in the territory and working closely with economic developers in the Pittsburgh region, Jon will sustain and enhance relationships with organizations such as the Pittsburgh Technology Council, Life Sciences Pennsylvania (formerly PA Bio), University of Pittsburgh, Innovation Works, Pittsburgh Life Sciences Greenhouse, and several others.

In Philadelphia...

Matt Burger (LinkedIn) has been promoted from Manager of Pennsylvania to Director of Philadelphia Operations. Matt started with R&Q in 2012 as a Senior Regulatory and Quality Engineer and has steadily worked his way up to this new position by consistently going above and beyond for R&Q's clients.

Matt's responsibilities will mimic Jon's except for his focus will be the Philadelphia region. Matt will ensure R&Q's clients in the area have everything they need - and more - and join already plugged in colleagues in the region working with organizations in the area. Examples include Life Sciences Pennsylvania, the RAPS Philadelphia Chapter, PLEXUS, and many others.

Above all, client satisfaction is what Jon and Matt care about most. They will each be the primary customer contact for the majority of R&Q's small- to medium-sized clients in their respective areas.
